Welcome to 2018!

Ok so I'm a bit late with the Happy New Year......My hubbys birthday is the 1st and 2 of my daughters closely follow in January... hahaha No excuse, but that's all I got.

I was surprised with a Wedding Wire Award for Couples Choice in 2018!

My hard work is paying off! YES!!!! I'm thrilled!!

I've had so many awesome couples to make cakes for, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart!

So If you are reading this and still have to choose a baker for your wedding cake I have a few tips.

1. You don't need to have a slice of cake for every guest. (Unless you want tons of leftovers} Not everyone will eat cake. Some can't and some guests will leave before its served.

2. Tell your baker if you plan on taking the top tier home. I take a box just for the top tier that way you can take it home in a container not on a plate.

3. Fresh flower are always nice on a cake. Ask if your baker wraps the stems in floral tape BEFORE putting the flower into the cake. That way no bare stems are touching what your eating.

4. Having someone cut the cake who knows what they are doing is key to having enough servings. Most venues have cake cutters that know how to serve wedding cake. Some charge to cut the cake too. I'd ask to be sure.

Bye for now! ~Mare
